About the Weeping Milk Cap

Lactarius volemus drips abundant white latex when cut, hence weeping. Dried specimens smell powerfully of shrimp and season broths in Asia. Must be cooked well. Popular in Japan where it is stir fried. Abundant latex is the field mark.
