About the Ghost Fungus

Omphalotus nidiformis, a pale Australian mushroom whose gills glow ghostly green in total darkness. The light is related to firefly chemistry. Eating it causes days of severe vomiting. Each year it is mistaken for oyster mushrooms by visitors from the northern hemisphere. Do not eat glowing mushrooms.
