About the Horn of Plenty
Craterellus tubaeformis, the yellowfoot or winter chanterelle. Small brown cap, egg yolk stem, and blunt forked veins instead of gills. Fruits in huge numbers from late autumn into winter thaws when little else grows. Commercially picked across Scandinavia. Dries beautifully.
