About the Giant Stalked puffball
Unusual stalked puffball that can reach considerable size. When mature, the spore mass releases through an opening at the top in a puff when disturbed. Young specimens are edible before the spore mass forms. They can release billions of spores. Related to the giant puffball but with a distinct stalk. Found in meadows and pastures.
