About the Yellow Stainer
Agaricus xanthodermus ruins lawn foraging. Looks like a shop button mushroom, but the base stains chrome yellow and the smell turns inky and chemical. Causes cramps and vomiting in most people, and cooking does not destroy the toxin. A leading cause of mushroom poisoning in Europe and Australia.
