About the Caesars Amanita
Amanita caesarea, the mushroom of emperors, prized in Italy since Roman times. Brilliant orange cap, yellow stem and skirt, rising from a white egg sac. Grilled or pickled across southern Europe. Requires expert care because deadly Amanita species also emerge from egg sacs. Only foragers fluent in Amanitas should consider it.
